For this prompt, I’d like to share a quote. It was published in a book called This Star Won’t Go Out, which is a collection of writings by and about Esther Earl.
Where even a sliver of love exists, the thinnest of hopes has room to grow.
– Wayne Earl
This quote was one of my favorites during my first read of the book. I wasn’t sure why I liked it so much, but I did. Still, when I read this quote, I don’t think “That’s so true.” Or even, “What a good observation.” Instead, I find myself thinking about the correlation between love and hope.
When you love something, you have hopes for it’s future, and when you don’t care about something, you don’t have much hope for it. If you have love for something, there is room for hope.
